Wilfred C. DuBose (fondly known as “Wil”) was born on February 3, 1954 to the late Mack and Nancy DuBose in Choctaw County, Halsell, Alabama.
Wil graduated from Choctaw County Training School in 1972. He then moved to Columbus, Ohio where he resided for four years. Wil decided to move to Newark, New Jersey where he met and married Christine Lott. They were married on March 6, 1980; 41 years together. Christine had two children, Ronald and Yolanda Lott, whom Wil raised as his own. Ronald and Yolanda loved and cherished Wil as their Dad. Wil was a good-hearted person and would do anything to help anyone. He was a jack of all trades. He loved having a good time and would cut up.
Wil was employed for 20 years with Wallace and Tierran until the company went out of business. He then gained employment with Townsend Machinery and later worked for U.S. Foundry & Pipe, who moved to Bessemer, Alabama. In 2008, the company offered Wil a position in Bessemer, Alabama, and he decided he would return to his home state Alabama.
Wil had three brothers who preceded him in death: Ralph, Rufus, and Rayfield.
Wil leaves to cherish his memories: his wife, Christine, his son, Ronald (Michelle), his daughter, Yolanda (Bailey), three grandsons, Kasson who preceded him in death, Marquis, and Kehron.
He also leaves to cherish his memories: two brothers, Alfred (Mary) of Union, New Jersey, Leo (Peggy) of Halsell, Alabama; two sisters, Darlene Noble of Newark, New Jersey and Floretta Williams of Halsell, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Wil was deeply loved and will be dearly missed by all!
