Valerie Deneen (Gaines) Eddie

Valerie Deneen Gaines Eddie was born to the late Bennie and Maggie Gaines on April 4, 1964.

She joined St. Mary’s United Methodist Church at a young age, where she served as a faithful servant/member until her death on January 26, 2023.

She was a daughter, a sister, a mother, an aunt, a niece, and a special friend.  She was loved by her family, friends, church, classmates, and the community.

She was preceded in death by her sister, Christal D. McCauley.

She leaves to cherish her loving memories: 2 sons, DeShawn Christopher (Sheila) and Timothy Rashad (Melissa); 1 daughter, Jemetrices; 6 grandchildren, Christopher, Rashad, Riley, Jaylen, Zoe, and Maggie; 1 brother, Marshall Gaines (Yolanda) of Clinton, Maryland; 5 sisters, Rose M. Gaines of Leeds, Alabama, Ladonna M. Gaines-Rackley (Kelvin) of Birmingham, Alabama, Synethia Brown (Darryl) of Lisman, Alabama, Pastephanie Bertrand (Steve) of Bowie, Maryland, and Regina Crosby of Butler, Alabama; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles, and a host of other relatives and friends.
