Obituary

Mr. Tracy Alan Green was born on March 3, 1967, to the late Dorothy Mae Green in Waukegan, IL as the youngest of seven children.

As a young man, Tracy joined the United States Army in 1985 and served at Fort Riley in Northeastern Kansas.  As a soldier, Tracy gained many friends who became family over the years.

To know Tracy is to love Tracy!  He was known as a jokester and for his love for sports.  Beit football, basketball, or baseball, Tracy knew the game in and out.  Tracy loved hard and was a very affectionate loving person.  He gave the best kisses and hugs…whether you wanted those wet kisses or not!

Tracy “Green Rock” Green, connected with people everywhere he went.  Known to be one of the best comedians in the family, it was his genuine spirit and loving attitude that drew friends and family to him; he never met a stranger.

Later, Tracy moved to Indianapolis, Indiana and joined Living Word Christian Church under the leadership of Pastor Richard Miller, Jr.  While in Indiana, Tracy became gainfully employed with FedEx Express until his transition into eternity.

Tracy Alan Green is proceeded in death by his parents, one sister Cynthia Parks, and one brother Rodney Green.

Leaving to cherish his life and memories:  one brother, Roy Green (Montgomery); three sisters, Eartha Pearl Johnson (Atlanta, GA), Angela L. Anderson (Waukegan, IL), and Lisa K. Borland (Meridian, MS); one uncle Cleveland Phifer “Eleanor”, (Louisville, KY); six aunts Johnnie Johnson, (York, AL), Mary Singleton “Jessie”, (Gainesville, AL), Frankie Ann Jackson “Charles”, (Covington, GA), Sara Monk “Willie”, (Waukegan, IL), Mattie Phifer, (Columbus, GA), and Charlie Faye Phifer, (Waukegan, IL).  He also leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends, two stepdaughters that he loved dearly, Jasmine “Dwayne” Sampson-Kelly (Norfolk, VA), Brianna “Joshua” Clayborne (Milwaukee, WI), and two grandchildren Daijean Clayborne and Aiden Sampson-Kelly.
