Printis Lee Tanks was born November 19, 1960 in Yantley, AL to Mildred Tanks and Fred Johnson. He was educated in Choctaw County, AL and Chicago IL. After graduating, he relocated with his aunt and moved to Brooklyn, NY. He worked various jobs until he became disabled.
Printis confessed Christ at an early age and joined Little Hope Baptist Church. After relocating to New York, Printis rededicated his life to Jesus Christ and became a Watch Care member at Kelly’s Temple Church of Christ in Brooklyn, NY, where the Pastor at that time was the late Bishop Edd Wallace Thomas. The Pastor now is Dr. Terrence L. Johnson. Printis loved Sunday School and loved being taught the Word of God. Printis was re-baptized at a sister church, Redeemer Church of Christ, by the late Pastor Ivory Kelly. We are grateful for Printis’ love and dedication towards his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Printis departed this life on July 13, 2023 at home in Brooklyn, NY. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, and 6 siblings; Mary Lois Saffold, Gus Tanks, Manuel Tanks, Beactrice Tanks, Larry Tanks, and Darnell Tanks.
