Patricia Darlene Farley-Carter was born to the late James Farley, Sr. and Elizabeth Singleton Farley on October 25, 1948 in Anderson, Indiana. She departed this earthly life on August 1, 2023.
Patricia accepted Christ and was baptized at an early age. She was a member of Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church in Anderson, Indiana.
Patricia graduated from Anderson High School. On August 19, 1972, she married the love of her life, Bobby Joe Carter. They were married for 51 years, and to union three children were born.
Patricia retired from General Motors in 1999. She moved to Lisman, Alabama, where she lived the rest of her days. She loved crossword puzzles, reading, spending time with her grandchildren, and taking care of her family.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents: James Farley and Elizabeth Singleton Farley; two sisters, Anita M. Farley and Karen Diane Farley; one brother, James A. Farley, Jr.
Left to cherish her memory is her three children: Tracy Carter, Anthony Carter, and Marcus Carter, all of Anderson, Indiana; three grandchildren, Christopher D. Smith, Jr., Anyah Carter, and Lexie Carter; one great-grandchild, Alaylah Smith; one brother, Lewis Edward (Debbie) Farley; one aunt, Cora Evans; three sisters-in-law, Ernestine Rogers, Hazel Spears, and Pearly Mae Daffin; one brother-in-law, Curley Bonds; her special friends, Barry and Sharon Miller, Brady Dixon, Annie Pearl Moore, Colleen Hayden, Bessie Ford, Monica Warren, Cheryl Warren, Ernestine Campbell; two devoted friends, Laquita Thompson and Jeffery Williams. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, that loved her so much.
