Josie Mae Graham was born to the late Bettie Lee Graham on February 19, 1971. She was loved and raised by her grandmother, Bettie Graham, as one of her own.
Josie Mae Graham departed this life on July 19, 2023 at her residence.
Josie joined Shiloh CME Church at an early age and remained a member until her death.
Josie was a people person. She loved mixing and talking to her friends and neighbors. When she became sick and couldn’t travel on her own, she still connected to her friends by phone. Her other love was children, even though she wasn’t a mother, her nieces, nephews, and cousins became her children. All the family kids will miss her.
Josie was preceded in death by her mother, Bettie Lee Graham; her grandparents, Bettie and TJ Graham; her great grandparents, Rosie and Hugh Graham; two (2) aunts, Frances Dunn and Lillian Graham; three (3) uncles, Jimmy Graham, Johnny Graham, and Willie Earl Graham.
Josie Mae leaves to cherish her memories: two (2) sisters, Barbara Graham and Francine Graham; two (2) nieces, Bertha and Chenille Graham; one (1) nephew, Dakota Graham; three (3) aunts, Arlene Graham, Josie Slay, and Rosie Ayala; two (2) uncles, TJ Graham, Jr. and Andrew Graham; special kids, Za’Kera Carradine, Jazilyn Mitchell (Redbaby), and Colton (CJ); grand nieces and nephews, Keterion Mitchell and Deontae’ Carradine, De’Adrain Anthony, Akira Anthony, and Shaniyah Anthony; a special friend, Eddie Ruffin; a host of many other relatives and friends.
