Frank Bracey

Bro. Frank Bracey was one of eight children born to the late Mr. Will Bracey and Mrs. Margaret Hunter Bracey on June 18, 1919.

Frank confessed Christ at an early age and was a member of Rock #2 Missionary Baptist Church, Minter, AL.  He held the position of Elder in his church.  He also would work in any capacities necessary.

Frank moved away from Dallas County, AL during his younger years, and worked on many different jobs.  He retired from the Birmingham City School System as a maintenance worker before moving back to Minter, AL.  Once back home, he took pride in working in his garden.  He grew many different vegetables; some he shared with neighbors, and others he canned for a later day.  He also loved cooking and planning dinners.

Frank was preceded in death by his parents, Will Bracey and Margaret Hunter Bracey; his siblings, Paul Bracey, Sr., Alex Bracey, Louis Bracey, Willie Bracey, Eugene Bracey, Joe Bracey, and sister, Elmira Bracey Reed.

Frank peacefully entered eternal rest on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham, AL.

He leaves to cherish his memories: four dedicated nieces and nephews, Paul Bracey, Jr., Margaret B. Williams, Patricia B. Lewis, and Sylvester Bracey, and many, many nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
