Dwight Lloyd was born December 25, 1960 in Yantley, Alabama to Gertrude Lloyd. He departed this life January 31, 2024 in Atlanta, Georgia.
Dwight joined the Little Hope Baptist Church at an early age. He was educated in the Choctaw County School System. He was among the first students to attend Butler Elementary school at the beginning of the dessegration of the school system. He moved to Racine, Wisconsin as a young man. Dwight relocated to Atlanta, Georgia and resided with his niece, Heather “Tasha” Adams and her family for the past few years. Dwight loved people, loved his family, and enjoyed having a good time with family friends. One of his favorite pastimes was playing spades. His famous saying during games when he was winning was “breathe, don’t talk”. He also liked to tell his opponents that he was going to run a “demo” on them.
He was preceded in death by his mother; sisters: Mildred Foster and Jeanette Lloyd; brother: Tommy Lloyd.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted niece, Heather NaTasha Adams of Atlanta, GA; four sisters: Betsy Perkins of Chicago, IL; Helen Lumpkin of Racine, WI; Mary (Rev. B. L.) Richardson of Albany, GA; Annie (Donnie) Berry of Racine, WI; Betty Lloyd-Nash of Albany, GA; One brother: Kenneth (Shanelle) Lloyd of Florence, SC; two aunts, Mary Jane Lloyd of Halsell, AL and Doris Loyd of Prichard, AL; Nieces and Nephews: Darlene Evans, Tamara Braziel, Valerie Perkins, Norman (Kim) Lloyd, Erica Lloyd, Eric Lloyd, Keon Craddock, Brentic (Tiffany) Richardson, Briana Richardson, Donnie Berry, Martell Berry; loving great niece and nephews: Tanevia Craddock, Tarence Banks, TaShaun Banks, and Teghan Adams; loving friends: Charity (Marvin) Booker and Frankie Grant of Racine, Wisconsin, devoted cousin: Lula Darby, and a host of other great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
