Albert Charles Napier, Sr.
Obituary
Albert Charles Napier, Sr., was born October 17, 1931 in Womack Hill to Guy and Estelle Napier. He departed this world peacefully on October 14, 2022 at Ochsner Rush Medical Center in Meridian, MS. “A.C.” as he was affectionately known joined the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at a young age. Entering his adult life he served in the military during Vietnam War. He was a devoted farmer and animal l over until the end of his life.
Albert is preceded in death by his father and mother; 3 brothers, Len Napier, Augusta Napier and Ealon Napier; 3 sisters Ida Bell Napier-Pace, Laura Godfrey, and Lola Mae Napier Christmas-Pugh; 2 daughters Sherry Howard and Frances Marlene Scott; 1 great grandchild Temperance Foster.
He leaves to cherish his memories a beloved wife, Mary Napier; 1 brother Charles (Ann) Napier of Troy, AL; 7 children Larry (Denise) Napier of Columbus, OH., Albert Charles (Patsy) Miller of Maylene, AL., Tony (Erica) Miller of Alabaster, AL, Yolanda Napier Thornton of Toxey, AL, Stacy (Tonya) Miller of Memphis, TN, Beatrice Merrida of Mobile, AL, and Laura Merrida of Mobile, AL; 1 stepson Tommie Pope of Cleveland, OH; and a host of grandchildren, great grands, nieces and nephews; 2 devoted friends, Brenda Hardy and Bob Burroughs, Jr.
His presence will be truly missed by numerous loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
