Martin Young

Martin Luther Young, was born on October 24, 1937, to the late Frankie Young Bryant and Earl Dunn in Edna, Alabama.  He grew up in Indian Springs, Alabama where he attended school.  He later worked in logging for many years.

Martin 79 entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, at Rush Foundation Hospital, Meridian, Mississippi.

Martin affectionately known as “Bailey” and “Dooley” was a kind and gentle soul; he had a loving and generous heart, and was always giving to those he loved.

Martin was preceded in death by his sister Shirley Lynn; two brothers, David Young and Frederick Dunn and a dear friend and companion Jesse Fitch.

Martin leaves his loving memories to be cherished by his sisters, Leetha Ward (Ward, Alabama), Ruthie Dunn (Detroit, MI), Ardis Fluker (West VA), Minnie Dunn (Boligee, AL), Annie Mae Dunn (Ward, AL), Earnestine Dunn (Texas), and Diane Dunn (Birmingham, AL); brothers Cliford Dunn, Tyrone Dunn, Ronald Earl Dunn (Birmingham, AL), and Lester Dunn (Ward, AL); and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
