Breelove "Buster" Collins

Breelove “Buster” Collins was born May 24, 1953 in Riderwood, Alabama to Wilmon Minor and Rosetta Collins.  He was called to glory at 5:42 a.m. on May 31, 2017 at his residence.  Fighting until the end, he succumbed to cancer.

He received his education in the Alabama Public School System.  Upon completion of his education, he began working for Sealy Mattress Company until going into business for himself as a contractor.

“Buster” accepted Christ at an early age and was a faithful member of New Mt. Hermon Missionary Baptist Church in Detroit, Michigan.  He was a joyful and comical person who enjoyed being around family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings:  Archie, Leonard and Rosie.  He leaves to cherish his memory three children:  Wilbur (Lolitia), Dewayne (Katecia), and Dayale (Eric); six grandchildren:  Carlos, Adrian, Crystian, Caleb, Elisha Pierre, and Immanuel; five sisters:  Corina, Brexley, Rosena, Sharon, and Jacqueline; one brother:  Alonzo (Jackie); nieces and nephews, in addition to a host of other relatives and friends.  Also left to cherish his memory is long time companion Anitra, who stayed by his side until the end.
