Robert Lee "Pete" White

Robert Lee “Pete” White was born on May 23, 1954 to the late Arthur Lee and Loreen White of Frankville, AL. Pete answered his call on February 1, 2024 at his home in Silas, AL with his wife Sandy by his side. God looked around His garden and found an empty space, then He looked down upon the earth and saw Pete’s face so He put His arms around him and said “Pete, come take your rest.” Pete is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Lee and Loreen White; two sisters, Eunice White and Adelle Cooper and one sister-in-law, Lillie Nicholson.

Pete confessed his life to Christ at an early age and joined Mt. Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Frankville, AL. He was a 1973 graduate of Washington County High School. Upon graduation, Pete enlisted in the United States Army. Pete worked in the Oil Field for over 30 years, retiring in 2017 from Transocean Offshore Drilling.

Cherishing Pete’s memories is his loving and devoted wife of over 30 years, Sandy; one son, Robert Jerrell White of Birmingham, AL; four daughters, Courtney (Marcus D.) McGrew and Kimberly (Marques) Hill, both of Silas, AL, Mariah (Frederick) Mitchell of Auburn, ME and Calley (William) Elliott of Bedford, NH; twelve grandchildren, Keyon, Kiara, Kady, Mia, Jade, Saige, Jemma, Jack, Monique, Leilani, Fredrick and Robert; one great-grandson, Kason; one sister, Angie White of Bigbee, AL; five brothers, Eric (Zenita) White of Mobile, AL, Leonardo (Wendy) White of Mt Vernon, AL, Talton Boman, Warren White and Artha White, all of Frankville, AL; mother-in-law, Emma Montanez of Butler, AL; one sister-in-law, Emma Jean Henderson of Gulfport, MS; four brother-in-laws, Alex (Sandra) Nicholson of Fayetteville, NC, Eric Nicholson of Summervile, SC, Lee (Gwen) Nicholson of Raleigh, NC and Michael Eason of Hope Mills, NC; one aunt, Hubertha (Menton) Boman of Bigbee, AL; one uncle, Tommy Langford (Martha) of Mobile, AL and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
