Medell Banks, Sr.

Medell Banks, Sr. was born September 19, 1946 to the late Elmer Crowell (JB) and Johnny Banks in Butler, Alabama.

He confessed Christ as His Lord and Savior at an early age and joined Butler Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church, Butler, Alabama, where he remained a member until his death on Friday, August 13, 2021, surrounded by his devoted family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Elmer Crowell (JB), and his father, Johnny Banks.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories: his wife, Christine Banks; five children, Myra Tuck (Keith, Sr.), Christie Doss (Johnny), LaDarrell Banks (Erica), Vincent Banks (Linda), and Medell Banks, Jr. (Kim); sixteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren; one sister, Eunice Grice (Milton); three devoted friends, Lawrence Gaines, Wilson Brown, Sr., and Mark Duff; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
