Mamie Webb Obituary

On December 21, 1958, Mamie was born to the late Katie Bell Nicholson and Almon Nicholson in Choctaw County (Riderwood), Alabama.

Mamie confessed Christ at an early age and joined Wahalak Missionary Baptist Church of Butler, Alabama where she remained faithful in service throughout childhood and her early adult life.

Mamie had a lot of hobbies; softball was her passion!  She played 3rd bass, 1st base, (she dominated any position she was placed in).  She was a true athlete!  She loved traveling the world and enjoying life to the fullest. She enjoyed celebrations and hanging out with her sisters.  Her and her sisters even created a girl group called the Supremes and they won the first annual family talent show in 2021.  She was a show stopper and a Glamour Queen.  She was a free spirit with a kind heart.

In 2007, Mamie married Bradley D. Webb.  During this marriage, she joined King Chapel Church of Yarbo, Alabama where she remained faithful in her service.  Mamie song with the Spiritual Crusaders as they traveled over the South East giving praises to God.  She played the piano for local churches until her health succumbed her.  She loved God, family, church and her community.  She was loved and known by many.

She was preceded in death by her Mother, Katie Bell Nicholson; three brothers, Almon Jr., Charles and Beloved; her Mother-In Law, Mildred Webb, and her Father-In-Law, Frank Webb.

She leaves to cherish loving memories to her husband Bradley D. Webb of Jackson, Alabama; her daughter Kimtosha Nicholson of Atlanta, Georgia; stepson: Tarus Whigham of Stateline, Mississippi; stepdaughter: Kendra (Horus) Muhammad of Douglasville, Georgia; foster children: Malia Nolan and Clifton Axel; nine siblings: Surether Marie Hayes of Detroit, Michigan; Edith Larkin of Yantley, Alabama; Laurine Nicholson of Butler, Alabama; Francis O'Field of Lisman, Alabama; Faye White of Detroit, Michigan; Joel (Macie) Nicholson of Hinesville, Georgia; Katie Murl Nicholson of Butler, Alabama; Espanolia (Michael) Rowe of Lisman, Alabama; and Gerald Nicholson of Lisman, Alabama; a bonus sister, Marcella Wesley of Detroit, Michigan; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Friends and family have shared their relationship to show their support.
