Deaconess Lakeisha Shanta Ruffin-Lofton was born on October 8, 1985 to the late Belove and Irmatine Ruffin-Nicholson.
Keisha was a 2004 graduate of Choctaw County High School.
Keisha joined Gilfield Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Theodis McSwain where she served on many committees such as Deaconess, Choir, Matron and church janitor until her death.
On January 19, 2015, she was united in Holy Matrimony to Deacon William “Tez” Lofton and to this union three children were made a family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, infant daughter: Sh’riyah Vernita, sister: LaShawnda Ruffin; brother: Dequain Ruffin; maternal grandmother: Margaret Nell Ruffin and paternal grandmother, Katie Bell Nicholson.
Keisha will be remembered by many for her loud laughter, joking and just being Keisha.
She leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband of five years, Deacon William “Tez” Lofton; son: Gregory Delmar Bryant, Jr.; two bonus daughters: Shakeidria Lofton and Shateia Lofton; grandson: Kais Lofton; sister: Sherita Johnson; her niece and nephew who she raised as her own: Rokeiveon Ruffin and Shakayla Ruffin; brother-in-law: James Lofton (Tammy); sister-in-law: Keria Irby; mother-in-law: First Lady Martha Irby; father-in-law: Pastor Jasper Irby; goddaughter: Valerie Moore; two special cousins, Krystal Ruffin Lee (Lester) and Linda Jackson. Those who she called friend, Tommy and Ashley Reed, Bertha Graham, LaQuita Thompson, Nesha Tyson, Quanta Ruffin and the Sugar Hill Gang and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss her dearly.
