Dominic Terrell McRae was born July 25, 1968, to the late Curtis E. McRae and Edna M. McRae. He was baptized and joined Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Yantley, AL at an early age. While living in Racine, WI, he was a faithful member of Searching Together Missionary Baptist Church where Reverend Willie Riley, Jr is the Pastor.
He attended Choctaw County High School in Butler, AL, and graduated from Southeast Lauderdale High School in Meridian, MS.
He leaves to cherish a brother - Lee (Faye) McRae of Lafayette, LA; one sister-in-law – Jacqueline McRae of Racine, WI; two sisters – Annie (Don) Berry of Caledonia, WI, and Kenya McRae of Racine, WI; three sons – Dominic (Luke) Musgrove, Jr. of Moline, IL, Dereontay Cunningham of Racine, WI, Marcus McFarland of Racine, WI; three daughters – Brianna McRae of Ottumwa, IA, Janee McFarland of Racine, WI, Janell McFarland of Racine, WI; two grandsons – Larry Ellison III and Marcus McFarland, Jr. whom he loved dearly. He has a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
He worked for RUDD Lighting, the State of Wisconsin, and the City of Racine until his health started to diminish. He was a youth basketball and football coach. He was also a softball umpire. He loved spending time at the racetrack with his family and friends. He loved watching football games and attending live football and baseball events. He loved cooking and helping others. He was a community advocate and loved by all. He enjoyed spending time with his family and many friends. He was always full of life.
Dominic peacefully went home to be with the Lord on December 11, 2020, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Dominic was preceded in death by his devoted father, Curtis E. McRae, and his truly beloved brother, Gregory L. McRae.
