Mary Kate Mitchell was born on July 08, 1946, to the late Annie Mae Graham and stepfather, Joseph Graham, Sr. in Lisman, Alabama. Mary Kate joined Shiloh CME Church at an early age.  She attended Shiloh Public School (housed in Shiloh CME Church). She worked as a Personal Health Aide for many years.  She attended Shiloh CME until her health began to fail.  Mary Kate was also a regular attendee of the Lisman Senior Center.
