Gertha Mae Clay-Harris was born to the late Henry Clay and the late Dora Brown-Clay on March 14, 1941 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Gertha confessed her life to Christ and joined the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church of Lisman, Alabama.
Gertha graduated from Choctaw County Training School in 1960.
Gertha met and married Willie H. Harris, and to this union six children were born. One infant, Jacqueline, preceded her in death; as well as, two brothers, Johnny Clay and Tommie Clay.
Gertha departed this earthly life on Friday, January 26, 2018.
