Dequain Ruffin

Our beloved Dequain “Flink” Ruffin was born to the late Irmatine Ruffin Nicholson and the late Henry Pringle on November 14, 1977 in Butler, Alabama.

He gained his wings on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi.

Dequain graduated from Choctaw County High School in 1996.  After graduation, he furthered his education by attending Alabama Southern Community College, where he earned an education in welding.

Dequain loved life and lived everyday to the fullest.

He will leave many to cherish his memories: two children, Brittany Ruffin of Waukegan, Illinois and Terrell Williams of Omaha, Nebraska; three sisters, Lashawnda Ruffin and Priscilla Ward, both of Lisman, Alabama; Lakeisha (William) Lofton of Pennington, Alabama; two nephews, Rokeiveon Ruffin of Lisman, Alabama and Gregory Bryant, Jr., of Pennington, Alabama; three nieces, Shakayla Ruffin, Tyanna Chaney and Denasia Reed, all of Lisman, Alabama; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends; both paternal and maternal grandparents preceded him in death.
