One crisp winter morning on January 14, 1927 a bundle of love, Mary Elizabeth Miles was born to the late Finest R Miles and Marie Theadford Miles in Demopolis, Al.
MARY accepted Christ at a very early age and was very active in the Church working with various Church Organizations and served faithful Until her death.
After graduating from U.S. Jones High in Demopolis, Al she attended Stillman College in Tuscaloosa, AL and Alabama State University in Montgomery, AL.
Mary worked as a teacher with the Choctaw County School System, she was also a Nurse at Choctaw General Nursing Home, an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star Butler Temple Lodge #651 & Herions of Jericho. Professional organizations NEA and AEA Associations. She also was a member of Deep South Cancer Control, Kids & Kin and a 4-H Club volunteer. In her free time she enjoyed reading, journaling, sewing & Interior Design. She also had a love for horses.
Mary was married to the late John Eddie for 45 years. To this union they were blessed with six children.
Mary M. Eddie age 90, passed away peaceably Saturday, March 11, 2017, after a brief illness at Willow Trace Skilled Rehabilitation Center in Butler, Al surrounded by family.
She leaves to cherish her memories six devoted children; Hollie E. Haynes (Rudolph) Tuskegee, Al; Juanita Harry-Braswell (Robert) San Diego, Ca; Johnnie Mae Eddie, Naomi King Butler, Al; Frank S. Eddie (Loretta) Huntsville, Al; T. Rose Williams (Vincent) Atlanta, Ga. Nine Grand-Children Michael J. Harry, (Los, Angeles Ca); R. Sirvelle Carter (Huntsville, Al); Eliora Pierson (Nathan) San Diego, Ca; Tanya Haynes (Montgomery, Al); DeMarquis Eddie (Huntsville, Al), Kenneth Haynes (Huntsville, Al), Aisha King and Marcus King (Mobile, Al), Kenndric Roberts (Atlanta, Ga). Nine great-grand children, ten God-children and Special friends Danny Johnson, Toretha Johnson, Rosie B. Wallace and Julia Carter along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
