Lucie M (Johnson) Jackson

Sister Lucie Jackson was born to the late Dempsey and Lucinda Johnson on February 21, 1932 in Yantley, AL.  She confessed Christ at an early age and joined the Mt. Mariah Baptist Church, and remained there until her health failed. 

She was married to the late Charlie Gordon, better known to family as, “CJ”, and to their union three children were born: Charlie (Renee) of Milwaukee, WI; Mary of Las Vegas, NV and Mildred of Meridian, MS.

After the death of “CJ”, she married the late Goardrow Jackson.  To their union, four children were born: Goardrow Jr. (Reana) of Huntsville, AL; Leonard of Philadelphia, MS; McKindley (Edwinnie) of Lisman, AL, and Thedoshia (Acey), also of Lisman, AL.  She also has two surviving stepchildren: Janey Townsend of Butler, AL and William Rowe of Daphne, AL; one brother, Archie Johnson of Butler, AL; two sisters, Janie Close of Victorville, CA and Johnnie Brown of Rialto, CA; two young men, that she loved as though they were her own, Willie Davis of Philadelphia, MS and Malcolm Fayne of Milwaukee, WI; 19 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; one aunt, Paulie Johnson of New Orleans, LA.  Lucie will be greatly missed by loved ones and friends. 

 She was preceded in death by one step-son, James Jackson of Hollywood, FL; two sisters, Queenster Johnson and Beatrice Traylor.
